Quick answers for capturing and verifying values with PasteProof.
How do I capture a value?
Select text or focus a populated form field. Open PasteProof and choose Capture current value, use the right-click action, or press Ctrl+Shift+1.
How do I verify a destination?
Focus the destination field, open PasteProof and choose Verify current field, or press Ctrl+Shift+2.
Why can't PasteProof access a page?
Chrome blocks extensions on internal pages such as chrome:// URLs and may restrict browser PDF viewers or some cross-origin frames. Try the action on a normal website tab.
Why was a value blocked?
PasteProof intentionally refuses common passwords, one-time codes, PINs, payment-card numbers and secret-token formats. Use it only for non-secret information.
How do I remove a captured value?
Choose Clear capture in the popup or press Ctrl+Shift+0. Captures also expire automatically.
What information leaves my browser?
None in the current version. PasteProof has no analytics, advertising or external network requests. Read the privacy policy for complete details.
Use the support contact shown on PasteProof's Chrome Web Store listing and include your Chrome version, the page type and the action that did not work. Never include the value you were trying to compare.
